Mahalo!

No more loneliness

no more pains,

a time for love

to remove past stains.

My time has been blessed

by two special people,

what I desire most

is we three and a steeple.

A lady so warm

So giving and tender,

gracing life’s pages

with the love she can render.

A young pretty girl

holding the hurt of ages,

trying to survive

all of life’s little stages.

Attempting to merge

with the flood of emotions,

each of the three trying

to cope with another’s notions.

A question of forming

a bond that will last,

the haunting apprehension of

treading on the past.

Patience gently asking for

resentment not to harden,

a wish to create

a bright human garden.

One full of doubt

the other lacking trust,

my persistent return

with the love that’s a must.

No more loneliness

no more pains,

a time for love

to remove past stains.

What do you get for

that most special lady?

Rainbows, unicorns or

a pot of gold maybe…

In her search for happiness

she has bought nearly all,

yet when I look in her eyes

I see a far away call.

She’s given so much,

she even gave me a Brother.

I’ve looked all over but

nothing is enough for my Mother.

In my wildest dreams

I’ve created a white dove,

I asked it for something

as valuable as my love.

It returned with a question

from a spot so shady,

“What do you get for

that most special lady?”

Happy Birthday Mom!

The sudden reality

of a loss so new,

is always out lasted

by the love we knew.

The present is now

and the sorrow so bad,

but memories are forever

of that we can be glad.

Moments once shared

are never gone,

ever fresh and sparkling

as morning dew on a lawn.
