The slow rising of the sun

the gentle glow of the moon,

The coming of these

is never too soon.

The eternal love of a mate

the new birth of a child,

so much like magic

making my heart go wild.

The light melody of a bird,

the towering strength of a tree.

Each are very special,

and a miracle to me.

But when all is told

from old to new,

each one is shadowed

by my love for you.

If there is a God in Heaven

then let Him hear me,

give my Mother her rainbow

let her happiness run free.

Some things are forever Mother…

like fond memories of you.

Thank you for all you did.

Happy Mothers Day!

I’m alone with

a feeling so low,

I’m lost in this life

not knowing where to go.

Missing a lady and

that feeling of romance,

like floating on a cloud

totally in a trance.

I should feel so lucky

for where I live,

everything paid for

and love to give.

That sense of loss

it seems to remain,

hanging on so tight

so full of pain.

Cold dark feelings

engulfed in despair,

the kind of things

one should never share.

A quest for love

the glorious inclusion,

merging with a partner

lessening the confusion.

I’m so very lost

feeling terribly alone,

in a distant universe

without a single tone.

As if I were a bus stop

women come and they go,

leaving me so empty

further extinguishing my glow.

Repeatedly told by friends

I’m such a good catch,

but time and time again

it isn’t a good match.

Is it something I lack

do I just try too hard,

too much the gentleman

what’s to become of this bard.

As I walk my path

along life’s main road,

so many women

they’re with a real toad.

I ponder these creatures

for what do they search,

they say they desire romance

yet they’re first to lurch.

Various gifts even my heart

I’ve given so much,

all in an effort

to savor their touch.

Such a mystical puzzle

ones that befuddle,

a life long search

wanting someone to cuddle.

I’m so very lost

feeling terribly alone,

in a distant universe

without a single tone.
