I Think I’m Dying

I think I’m dying

a little at a time,

the cause is unclear

no reason or rhyme.

My lips are numb

missing two on two,

of course we kiss

but with feelings untrue.

My vision is blurring

sights will not last,

can’t see the future

only dim glowing past.

My heart seems weak

it’s missing life,

where is that love

between man and wife.

My lungs breathe shallow

so lacking in force,

no breath of fresh air

to blow away this remorse.

My body grows weak

so hard to keep going,

in search of a path

yet no answers showing.

My memory grows dim

can’t remember the facts,

those things we shared

with deep loving acts.

Some attention is needed

must find some help,

feel like I’m dying

all tangled in kelp.

I think I’m dying

a little at a time,

the cause unclear

no reason or rhyme.
